Lara Adrian's paranormal romance Midnight breed series gets you lost in it's pages right from the start, as it transports you to a whole new world right between the pages. Each story is filled with action, danger, love and even betrayal, that you can't put down until the last page. New readers to the series can jump in at any book, but the best way to learn all about the breed and it's members is to start at the beginning with Lucan and Gabrielle in Kiss of Midnight.
Break the day is about Rafe Malebranche, the son of Dante and Tess who we first meet in Kiss of Crimson (Book 2). After being betrayed in the previous book Rafe is feeling guilty and feels that he needs to get retribution to make up for it. Even if that means losing his reputation and his friends in the order. Having agreed to accept an undercover mission to collect more information that would lead them to the Opus Nostrum terrorist group, Rafe comes across a young female in the group and immediately suspects that something isn't right. When finding out that Devony isn't who she claims to be and is hiding a secret that could put them both in danger. While trying to keep his own secret Rafe teams up with Devony, but can they trust each other enough to get one step closer to finding Opus Nostrum?
Break the day is just another brilliant addition to the Midnight Breed series and reminds me why I continue to love reading Lara's books. Thank you Lara for creating an amazing series that brings me back time and time again.
