Lara Adrian outdoes herself again!
Edge of Darkness is the third installment in Lara's Midnight Breed spin off series Hunter Legacy. This book focuses on Knox and Leni (Lenora). Just like all of her other books in the Midnight Breed and Hunter legacy series' Knox and Leni's story is full of suspense, action, danger and love that will have you unable to stop reading until the very last page.
Having survived the Hunter program that he was raised in Knox, had created a home with three of his 'brothers' from the hunter program. But after losing the only person that he cared about in a terrible accident he decided to leave his Florida home. After months of travelling he stepping into a small diner in a remote town to get out a snow storm. Little did he know that, that choice would change his life ... the life that he'd known.
Inside that little diner he meets Lenora who runs the diner while also taking care of her nephew Riley. After the founding family starts trouble with her in the diner, Knox steps up in her defense and then again later that night when an attempt is made on her life. Thinking that he would get her back home safely and then head off back into the night on his journey, his soon changes his mind when he finds out that she's a breed mate and that more trouble would be coming her way in the form of her nephews father who is due to be released from prison. From that point on Knox would do anything to protect Leni and her nephew no matter what it takes, but he finds that the more time that he spends with her, the less he wants to let her go. Not only was he helping to keep her and her nephew safe from harm, she was helping him as well by mending his broken heart.
If you're looking for an action packed book and also love vampires, then Lara Adrian's Edge of Darkness ... or any of her Midnight Breed and Hunter Legacy series' are for you. You won't be disappointed, I know I wasn't. From the very first page you're drawn in and unable to stop until the very last page. As soon as I picked Edge of Darkness up and started reading, I wasn't able to put it down until I'd reached the last page. To say that I enjoyed it was an understatement, Lara had me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what happened next.
